Simba Corporation has launched Acacia Premier, the first in the chain of hotels branded Acacia that will be spread throughout East Africa.
The new brand will be handled under the company’s hospitality arm known as Simba Hospitality and will be spearheaded through the rollout of four and three star hotels aptly branded Acacia Premier and Acacia Express respectively.
“At Acacia Premier we offer world class service and value for money. Kisumu being a growing market, there are more travelers who expect quality facilities and exceptional service as they visit the city,” said Simba Corp CEO Adil Popat at the launch.
The premier hotel located in Kisumu Central Business District has four restaurants including; the Barista Coffee Lounge, Café Acacia, Buzz Bar and Aqua Pool Bar and Grill.
The hotel has 94 rooms which include four bay suites, one Presidential Suite, superior rooms facing Lake Victoria and spacious standard rooms. It also has a spa with 3 treatment rooms, a gym and a rooftop swimming pool.
“The choice of location at the middle of the city was very strategic and in light of this we also offer a variety of services for convenience purposes; a business centre, a board room, an executive lounge, as well as a meeting and conference room that accommodates a maximum of 250 people,” said Popat.
Simba Corporation’s Chief Hospitality Officer, Nazir Khamisa, the Acacia brand, which benchmarks against global standards in the hospitality industry, promises quality food and service, excellent ambience and strategic business locations.
“Acacia Premier which is Kenya’s latest homegrown hospitality brand, is firmly taking shape. Through this brand, we intend to raise the bar in as far as the local hospitality industry is concerned. Eventually, we aim at opening up a collection of Acacia hotels across the country and the East African region,” he said.
The Kenyan hotel scene is primed for expansion as global brands and local investors look to capture the growing number of business travelers. The Group further plans to have a unique proposition by setting up mid-priced hotels under the “Acacia Premier” and “Acacia Express” brand.
